Merry Christmas to all my wonderful clients!  I sincerely hope each one of you had a wonderful, blessed Christmas, surrounded by those you love.  I wanted to post this on Christmas Eve, but due to my computer problems was unable to.  Better late than never, though!  :) 

Here is the inside of our Christmas card for this year - look closely and you may see a little announcement

Baby # 3 and SON # 2 is due in May!  :)  I figured I couldn’t keep it under wraps any longer as I’ll be waddling around at some sessions pretty soon :)  I hope you are enjoying the holidays!  Much love ~  S

Not me, my computer :(  I think every photographer’s worst nightmare (right up there with their camera getting sick) is having computer issues.  I use my computer every day not only for following up on emails, questions, etc…but editing,designing, ordering, etc.  I spent the better part of today crying (yes, I know) while my husband rushed my computer to the “doctor”.  The good news?  They should be able to recover my complete hard drive without any problem at all.  Whew.  The bad?  Ugh…it’s a doozie.  They have to send my computer off for repair, which could take a weeks to get back.  In the meantime, I have to transfer everything from my hard drive to my external hard drive (thank goodness for back up external hard drives!)  That means all my software, business files, current client files, Outlook, Lab programs, design stuff…thousands upon thousands of files that I need access to just to run my business.  Which will probably take a week in of itself to get transferred.  These are big files, people :)  Of course, if I had backed up all these programs like a good little photographer I wouldn’t have this problem :(   I admit that while I am extremely vigilant to back up every single client file/image, I don’t back up on my own stuff regularly at all.  So…now I pay the price.  Ahh, such is life - learning lessons the hard way never is easy

All that to say - I am trying to get access to my Outlook via the internet on our other (personal) computer so I can return emails, etc.  However, this may take a day or 2 to accomplish.  I’m not sure yet how this is going to affect the orders I was planning on placing before the holidays, but for those of you waiting on orders - rest assured, I will keep you updated.

That’s all I know for now - hopefully my sick little computer will be back to new (or replaced!) in no time.  Thanks for understanding!

Hello to my faithful blog readers!  We are back from a whirlwind weekend in Chicago, and while I spent a better part of today catching up on emails, work, and laundry (oh, the joys!) I did have to take a short break to do a mini shoot with Charlotte.  You see, I, the photographer have not even started my own Christmas cards!  Yikes!  Last year I had them done by Thanksgiving…this year, things have just been so busy that I haven’t had a moment to even snap a shot of our family.  So, I gave up on the perfect family shot and decided to let Charlotte steal the show for our cards this year.  She gave me about 10 minutes of shoot time on our bed this morning, and thankfully, I got just what I wanted for our cards.  While of course I won’t be posting THOSE images on here (wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise!), I will post a few of the outtakes - those are always fun

On a business note, I still have TWO spots left for January.  Don’t let the cold weather fool you - I love shooting indoors in the wintertime!  Tuesday morning sessions are available all through January for baby/child sessions.  Just shoot me an email

anyone still checking my poor, neglected blog?  :)  between being super sick last week, and a 2 year old that refuses to nap…well my computer time has been next to nill :(  i hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving with the one(s) you love.  just wanted to let you all  know that i am alive and well - just a little short on time right now :)  if you are waiting on a gallery or an order, just remember that i am a week behind due to my illness last week…but i am spending every free moment cranking our your images!
