…into what it will be like having a BOY around our house  :)  A friend came over today for a playdate/photoshoot, and I had lots of fun playing with her boys while snapping a few pics :)  Here are her handsome little guys…oh they are just too cute!

…because sometimes all a girl needs is a few good accessories

I had the privilege to spend some time photographing a very special baby girl this past weekend.  She was welcomed to America just 2 months ago…into the loving arms of some of the nicest, most selfless people I know.  So  many sacrifices and prayers were made for this little girl…and now she is here!  It was such a joy to photograph her and her family.  Thank you J family for entrusting your memories to me!  I truly walked away from your session amazed and blessed.  Here’s a peek!  xo

It’s been a quiet last month or so, but I’m back from my nice long holiday break and the sneak peeks have resumed!  :)  It was wonderful to have a month break from sessions and just focus on my family…but now that I’m back in the swing of things, I’ve realized how much I missed you guys

This lil guy stole my heart last spring.  He was my first baby planner, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for him and his family.  I shot his first year sessions just a bit ago, and I just LOVE seeing how much he has grown and changed!  I am SO blue now that his baby plan is over and I won’t get to see him every 3 months anymore :(  BUT…his momma has already inquired about his 2 year session (yes, she is a big planner like I am - love her!) :)  so at least I’ll get to see him one other time this year.  It will be amazing to see how much he has chanaged by then. 

Here’s little G…all grown up at 1 year old.  That first year is so amazing and goes by so fast.  Thank you C family for allowing me to watch from behind my lens as G’s life unfolded over the last year.  It was truly an honor.  xo

this blog has gotten pretty  boring lately - I admit!  admist the holidays, computer troubles, and taking a month off - there hasn’t been much reason to blog.  sessions are picking back up again though, so there will be plenty of sessions to showcase very soon! 

thank you to those who sent your congrats on our newest lil bun in the oven :)  he is doing great - very active and measuring ahead of date (my stomach will attest to that!)  it’s been interesting shooting around my bulging belly - definitely a first for me.  i’m shooting some of my very favorite clients over the next few months, plus i got a new lens this week that i’m dying to use…so i know this winter will fly by!  for those of you keeping track…about 17 weeks to go until we meet the lil mister…  which means i won’t be taking any sessions for may OR june - so if you’re wanting a spring/summer session, you may want to keep that in mind.  as of right now, i’m taking a VERY limited number of sessions for this winter/spring…which means only a few spots remain, mostly in march.  indoor sessions are so fun in the winter - there is usually lots of soft light, and it is great for a lifestyle session of your little one.  i love shooting indoors in the winter - such a nice chance from being outside all year, and it gives such a personal, timeless feel to your photographs.

of course, i can’t post without an image - here’s C playing with her favorite Christmas gift :)  for those of you wondering if i am crazy for letting her have open markers on the carpet - that carpet is getting replaced this monday with vinyl…so we are letting her trash it in the meantime
