first rollers.
Look who got her first rollers put in her hair today

After I finished, she couldn’t wait to look in the mirror. She must have stood in front of it smiling at herself for at least 5 minutes :) I’ll be sure to take “after” pics when she wakes up from her nap this afternoon
This next one is totally not my style editing-wise, but I guess I was in a playful mood today, lol!

Hadn’t posted any of the lil squirt in awhile, so I figured this was a good excuse! Happy Wednesday!

everyday.
This family’s gallery is complete, so I just had to share a couple more of my favorites from their session. I just love lifestyle sessions that take place in the client’s home. I like to think that 20 years from now, when the little ones look back at these images, they’ll remember that couch they took long naps on and jumped off of so many times. What a better place to capture a family than in the very home they’ve created together?
A favorite photographer of mine said this after having her family photographed: “I always knew what it FELT like to love my family…now I know what it LOOKS like”
This is the exact thought that ran through my mind as I proofed this session. I just adore this family!

Dad is a musician and plays often for his little girls. So glad we were able to capture this…I know his daughters will treasure these memories forever.

announcements and peek | Illinois Baby Photographer
Plugging away over here on some long-awaited galleries. Thank you to those of you that have waited and waited to see all your images! Now that C has decided she’s only going to take 1 hour naps, my window of work-time has gone considerably down! I’m still cranking out those images, though…even if it’s just a few at a time
To thank this mom for waiting, here’s a couple more faves from her session:
I am such a sucker for knuckle dimples on babies
and those chubby little wrists? Forget about it - I’m a total goner :) Who can resist?
I’ve gotten lots of inquries over the past month, and while I am SO appreciative…I’m officially booked up until maternity leave. If you’re interested in a session with me, keep an eye on the blog mid-summer – that’s when I’ll announce openings for summer/fall sessions. I’ve got a few more sessions this spring, then it’s already time for maternity leave! I’ll be baking this baby for another 6 weeks or so (most likely), then it’s a few months of {sweet newborn-goodness} for me! Can’t wait!

This lil sweetheart’s gallery is officially completed and live, so now I can share a few more of my favorite images from her session without spoiling the surprise for her parents :) Her momma picked the cutest dress for to wear - the colors just suited her perfectly…girly and sweet
I love how she’s pinching her chubby lil leg here

This is definitely an all-time fave. This image is now showcased on my site

sigh.
I just adore this momma. I really do. (and it’s not because she makes me a homecooked meal everytime I come for a session, I sware!) ;)
I feel incredibly blessed to follow a baby’s first year of life. This is my third session with this little sweet pea. It’s so fun to see how much she changes every few months. What a difference just 3 months can make! The gummy smile is gone, she’s sitting up, rocking, and even has a few extra rolls :) I just adore First Year Collections!
Here’s your sneak peek, C family! XO

sisters | Illinois Baby & Child Photographer
The momma of these 2 lil girls has been anticipating this session since she booked it last November. It finally came, and I hope she enjoyed it as much as she thought she would :)
These sisters were so cute, and just as sweet as can be…
The youngest gave me this smile right off the bat! Oh, that dimple just kills me! Seriously - it is cuteness overload

This sweet pea was at the ever challenging (but so fun) age of 2 :) She made me work hard for some cute expressions, but once we ran up to her room for some one-on-one time with me and the camera….the girl knew how to work it!

Thanks R & V for inviting me into your new home! xo
