For those of you that follow me on Facebook, you know that my hubby just took me on a surprise getaway for my birthday! (btw, if you care to know anything & everything about my life, you can “friend” me here) The week before, I was told not to make any plans for the following week. Each day after, I received clues throughout the day…some made sense, others I think were simply to stump me :) Once on the plane, Matt gave me a folder with all the information for our trip…including my final clue and a sweet love note about why he was doing this for me. Sigh… <3

The destination was Disney World, and we stayed at the gorgeous Wilderness Lodge! Don’t let the name fool you…this resort is tricked out to the max ;) Our days consisted of laying by the pool, playing on the beach, taking the boat to Magic Kingdom, eating at Downtown Disney, and haVing ice cream — every night :) We made so many wonderful memories. There is something so fun about spending a week with your little family in a small confined space! Or maybe I’m just crazy :)…but I love it!

I left my pro camera at home and took our little Rebel DSLR with us - with a session 2 days after we got back, I didn’t want to risk anything happening to my main squeeze :) It was fun to use my lightweight camera again, and it really has held up pretty well the last few years! If you’re looking for a new camera, the Rebel really is a great catch :) Here’s a tiny sampling of our week - enjoy!
(as with all my slideshows, turn the volume on/off as you like) :)
