Katie | Illinois Child Photographer

This post has been a long time coming.  Last September, I hired an assistant to help me with some behind-the-scenes-work…and let me tell you - this girl is awesome.  Katie has recently started doing my Ordering Sessions, and is now a much more visible part of my business.  I am so thankful for her contribution to SKP and honestly - I don’t know how I did it before without her :)  Thanks to her, I’ve been able to wittle down my work-from-home hours to closer to 20-30/week as opposed to 40 (yikes!!).  She also is constantly looking for ways to help SKP grow and thrive, and has a great eye for detail.  Basically, she makes me look good ;)  I should also say that she’s a wonderful person inside & out - and I consider her a friend.

Many of you will be meeting her soon when it comes time for your Ordering Session, and I know you will love her too :)

Katie - can you believe it’s been a year since you joined me on this crazy ride?  Thanks for EVERYthing you do - none of it goes unnoticed!  You rock :)

Remember when | Central Illinois Baby Photographer

Found this oldie but goodie while cleaning out my external hard drive.  Hard to believe this little lady is now 2 years older!  This was one of my first paying clients, and I can still remember how fun this session was!  :)

orchard | Illinois lifestyle photorapher

I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family last night.  Their mother happens to also be a photographer from Central Illinois.  She (like many photographers) has a serious lack of family photos that include herself - I can certainly relate!  I was flattered that she asked me to capture some memories of her with her family.  We met up at an apple orchard just outside of her hometown…

Enjoy the peek, S family!

one. | Illinois Baby Photographer

This little girl has changed so much since I photographed her as a fresh little newborn, yet she’s just as adorable as she was then.  I love spending time with this family - they are so fun and laidback.  I really do consider it a privilege when I am invited back for another session and given the chance to watch these little ones grow.  I’ve had so many babies turning one this year and I love each and every one of them.  This session was a breeze - this little princess was up for anything and everything!

R&R - It was such a treat spending time with you this morning!  Enjoy this peek - there are gobs and gobs of more gorgeous images for me to show you!  I can’t wait!

 25 comments from family/friends = a 5×7 for this momma & daddy!

Sarah & Abraham | Illinois family photographer

I have to admit - I was just teensy bit nervous for this session.  It’s been in the works for almost a year.  I first stumbled upon Sara’s work while browsing Etsy - and I was hooked.  Since then, she’s been my go-to source for cards, client gifts, labels, and stickers.  Since then, her Chicago-based business has grown by leaps and bounds, and she now has a website full of creative, gorgeous things for your home.  Did I mention that she was recently featured in Real Simple magazine?  I’m telling ya, this girl is going places - fast.

Last night I had the huge privilege of photgraphing her & her family.  She said she wanted fun, completely candid, colorful images of her family in a unique surrounding.  I think we got it.  :)
