Welcome to the new SKP blogsite! We are so excited to move into the fifth year of Summer Knobloch Photography with a brand new look. We have merged the SKP blog and website into one – a marriage of sorts – that allows you to find everything you need in just one place. Pretty great, huh? The winter season proved to be a great respite for me as I recovered from my surgery, and gave me time to plan a TON of exciting things for SKP 2011.

This spring started off with a bang as I taught my very first workshop at a private high school here in town (such a blast!), and things are starting to fill up for our May schedule already! With that being said, in celebration of our 5th year and the new blogsite, I am offering a Celebrate promotion. What are you wanting to celebrate? Summer Knobloch Photography is looking for models for an upcoming workshop. This casting call is open to current clients only. Models will receive complimentary prints from the workshop session, to be held on Friday, March 18th.

We had a great time this past weekend at our Fall Mini Event! I got to photograph many repeat clients, which I LOVE doing – including two that I’ve been photographing since they were fresh little newborns :) I love that! I also got to meet some new clients & even got to meet some grandmas & aunts that tagged along for sessions. It was a wonderful weekend & it went by fast!

My dear neglected blog readers,

I’ve been MIA lately thanks to a wonderful adventure called MOVING!  Yep, we’re moving in just a couple weeks, so our house has been organized chaos lately…which equals ZERO time for blogging.  I’ve been organizing like crazy and getting ready for my brand new OFFICE :) :) (can you tell I’m a bit excited to have an actual office instead of a corner of the eat in kitchen?)  :)  I’ve been doing some much needed tidying up, computer/keyboard cleaning (de-crumbing the keyboard, ahem).  With that I’m also organizing my client files and cleaning up my external hard drive (where I back up all of my wonderful clients’ gorgeous images)…which brings me to my Digital File Special!  :)

Every year I purge images from the previous year and usually offer some sort of steal for clients who want to snatch up their Session CD from last year.  I’m doing the same this year, but am offering it a bit earlier due to our impending move & my recent organizing spree :) 

After talking with some friends & clients, I decided to offer the special at a more affordable price this year.  While I know what these digital files are worth (to you and to me), I also know that so many of you are struggling in today’s economy — and I truly want everyone to be able to take advantage of this special.  So…without further ado — here’s the scoop:

All sessions from 2009 are included in this special.  You’ll have your CD in hand within 2 weeks of ordering.  Just shoot me an email & we’ll get started on your CD!  I’ll also re-host your gallery if you like while you wait for your CD.

This would be a great way to finally get your images from your SKP session into an album.  There are some adorable slip-in albums on the market, as well as various online retailers that will do the printing for you.  In my recent organizing craze, I found some beautiful images of my kiddos from last fall that I never. had. printed. (hanging head in shame).  I’ve now ordered them and am putting them into a simple slip-in album – which I should have done long ago.  No more hiding in my computer hard drives – I want these photos out where I can see them all the time – and share with company.  Plus I feel better having actual prints in my hand – only having my photos stored on my computer or on CD just makes me nervous!

…Ok, so maybe not *forever*…but seriously, if you don’t book your mini session soon, there won’t be any left for Spring!  I’ve still got a few spots for May 29th open, and I just opened up a couple extra slots for THIS Saturday.  Send me an email asap if you’re interested – May is a crazy busy month for us, so I’ve only got one weekend (the 29th) for mini sessions – but – if you’re wanting a deluxe session, I can definitely squeeze you in somewhere! :) 

I am loving this Spring weather…are you?  Lots of bike riding, puddle jumping, buggy pushing going on around here…
